This cameo represents The God of the Underworld Hades capturing Persephone to be his queen.Persephone was the Goddess of vegetation and her mother is Demeter the Goddess of Agriculture. After the capture of Persephone, her mother grieved which brought winter.
Hades compromised and released his wife every 6 months. Thus creating the seasons.
