MESOPOTAMIA

Ancient Mesopotamia was a region going back 6000 BC located in modern day Iraq, Iran, Syria and Turkey. It was the home of many civilizations such as the Assyrians, Sumerians, Babylonians and Akkadians which shared the same gods although had different names for them. That region was credited by the creation of the first writing (cuniform), the wheel and agriculture among other things and is known to be the cradle of all civilizations.
