Inspired by an ancient Roman coin from 162 AD, these handcrafted earrings feature a crab with a star above it — the symbol of the Altar of Apollo in the Temple of the Oracles. The original coin was minted in Cilicia (modern-day Turkey) during the reign of Emperors Lucius Verus and Marcus Aurelius.
Each charm is 12mm and made from jeweler’s gold bronze with gold-filled ear wires, or in 14k gold plated over bronze with gold-filled ear wires. Every piece is kiln-fired and finished by hand in my Florida studio, a true example of American craftsmanship.
Metal options:
• Solid jeweler gold bronze charms paired with 14K gold filled ear wire, or
• 14k gold plated over solid jeweler gold bronze charms paired with 14K gold filled ear wire.
