These handmade bronze earrings are inspired by one of the most iconic images of the ancient Roman world—the she-wolf nursing Romulus and Remus, the legendary founders of Rome.

I created a mold from an ancient Roman coin design and cast each piece in bronze to preserve the aged texture and character of the original artifact. The result is a pair of earrings that feel like miniature relics from antiquity.

According to Roman mythology, the twin brothers Romulus and Remus were abandoned as infants and rescued by a she-wolf beside the Tiber River. Romulus later founded the city of Rome in 753 BC, making this image a lasting symbol of strength, survival, and the origins of Roman civilization.

Rich in history and symbolism, these earrings are perfect for lovers of mythology, ancient coins, and classical art.

The original coin is from 330-346 AD.

- The coin is 14 mm wide.

- Antiqued

- 14k gold filled ear wire.

- Gold filled has 100 times more gold than plated so does not rub or peel off.

- Nickel free

Bronze has been valued since antiquity for its strength and warm, golden tone. Over time, it naturally oxidizes—much like silver—creating a rich patina that adds depth and character. Its original luster can be easily restored with a jeweler’s polishing cloth as needed.
