A tribute to Saint. Abigail Gobnait, the beloved Irish saint associated with healing, protection, and bees, this pendant necklace is my original interpretation of her enduring legacy.
I began by hand-carving the design, carefully shaping every detail before kiln-firing it in my studio. The finished piece depicts the saint surrounded by bees, symbols of diligence, community, and divine protection. Inspired by ancient devotional medals and folk traditions, it carries the character of a treasured artifact passed down through generations.
 
Crafted in solid jeweler's bronze and suspended from a delicate gold-filled chain, the pendant combines old-world symbolism with contemporary wearability. The warm bronze surface will naturally develop a rich patina over time, reflecting the beauty of age and use.
Each necklace is individually handmade, making every piece unique. Signed on the back, it is both a work of wearable art and a meaningful reminder of resilience, faith, and the quiet strength found in nature.

Bronze has been valued since antiquity for its strength and warm, golden tone. Over time, it naturally oxidizes—much like silver—creating a rich patina that adds depth and character. Its original luster can be easily restored with a jeweler’s polishing cloth as needed.
