Inspired by ancient Christian devotional medals and Byzantine iconography, this hand-carved St. Nikitas pendant necklace honors one of the early martyrs of the Christian faith. The pendant depicts Saint Nikitas holding a cross and staff, surrounded by the inscription “Live and Die for Christ,” expressing a life devoted completely to faith and spiritual conviction.
St. Nikitas the Goth lived during the 4th century and became known for defending and spreading Christianity among the Gothic peoples during a period of violent persecution. Refusing to abandon his beliefs, he was ultimately martyred for his faith and is remembered as a symbol of courage, endurance, and unwavering loyalty to Christ.
Carefully hand-carved from my original artwork, this pendant is designed with an aged, relic-like appearance inspired by historic pilgrimage medals and sacred Christian artifacts. The sculpted details and raised lettering give the piece a timeless character rooted in ancient craftsmanship traditions.

Bronze has been valued since antiquity for its strength and warm, golden tone. Over time, it naturally oxidizes—much like silver—creating a rich patina that adds depth and character. Its original luster can be easily restored with a jeweler’s polishing cloth as needed.
